It's baaaaack! Evil Dead - The Musical, winner of the 2007 Dora Audience Choice Award as Toronto's favourite show, returns to the city where it all began tonight, October 24 for a limited engagement at Toronto's Randolph Theatre (formerly The Bathurst Street Theatre).

It's back! Based on the 80s cult classic EVIL DEAD films, this show is hilariously campy and bursting with more farce than a Monty Python skit. Five college kids take a trip to a remote cabin in the woods and encounter everything from ancient evil spirits to revenge-seeking Candarian Demons. It's all ridiculous and wild, while the term 'Fresh Blood!' takes on new meaning! Check out promo shots for the production below!

In honor of the cult classic's Detroit world premiere in October 1981, the musical will perform a four week engagement starting tonight, October 2 through Saturday, October 26 at Detroit's City Theatre; located inside Hockeytown Cafe at 2301 Woodward Avenue.

The cult classic movie, Evil Dead, turns 30 this year and The Ringwald/Who Wants Cake? and Olympia Entertainment are celebrating the film's world premiere which took place in Detroit in 1981 by bringing the hilariously bloody homage, Evil Dead: The Musical, back to the City.

Theatre Downtown will hold auditions for Evil Dead: The Musical, the hilarious Off-Broadway hit, on Monday, March 28th from 6:00-10:00 PM. Auditions will be held at Theatre Downtown, 2113 North Orange Avenue, Orlando. Please call (407) 841-0083 to make an appointment.

Evil Dead: The Musical will open at the Falcon Theater on Friday, October 22. Performances are at 8 p.m. on October 22, 23 (sold out), 28, 29, 30, 31 and November 5, 6. Tickets are $18.00 for adults and $15.00 for students and seniors.

EVIL DEAD opened this past weekend to sold out crowds. As a result of the overwhelming response to this show, a performance on November 4th has been added.
