LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL will 'bend and snap' June 16 - 21, 2009 at the Schuster Center (One West Second Street - corner of 2nd and Main Streets). Sorority star Elle Woods doesn't take 'no' for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone more 'serious,' Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the TRU Producer Boot Camp: WEEKEND INTENSIVE FOR NEWBIES, basic training for producers, geared to those producing at the reading and Equity Showcase level, and with particular application for participants in upcoming summer festivals, on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 9:30am - 6:00pm at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street (below W. 3rd Street), NYC.

Strawdog Theatre Co. Presents 'Why We Fight' Themed 22nd Season

Strawdog Theatre Company of Chicago announces their 22nd anniversary season of presenting 'the whole wide world in a little black box,' with the three mainstage plays focusing on the theme of 'why we fight': the Midwest premiere of Matt Pepper's 'St. Crispin's Day,' David Harrower's translation of Bertolt Brecht's 'Good Soul of Szechuan,' and Curt Columbus' translation of Anton Chekhov's 'Uncle Vanya.' The shows run Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 7 p.m.

CTI Announces Seakers For 28th Annual 3 Day Producing Conference 5/15-5/17

The Commercial Theater Institute's (CTI) annual three-day intensive training program, 'Producing for the Commercial Theatre' boasts an A-List faculty line-up. This unique program is designed to help foster the next generation of commercial theatre producers and is open to anyone interested in producing or co-producing on or Off-Broadway, on the road, or investing in commercial productions.

Stacy Keach Returns to FROST/NIXON Tour

Variety reports that Stacy Keach will return to the role of Richard Nixon for three perfs in the national tour of 'Frost/Nixon,' currently onstage at the Ahmanson Theater. After Keach suffered a mild stroke last week, his understudy, Bob Ari, took over the role of the former president in the Peter Morgan-penned play, helmed by Michael Grandage. Ari understudied the role under Frank Langella in the Broadway production.
