Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company Offers Sneak Preview Of A QUEST FOR FREEDOM At APAP

The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present its latest work, A Quest for Freedom, at New York City's City Center Studio 4 on Saturday, January 13 at 7pm and 8pm, and Sunday, January 14 at 12 noon and 12:30pm. The performances will showcase the company's latest collaboration with the renowned Korean American classical music powerhouse The Ahn Trio during the annual conference of the Association of the Performing Arts Presenters. The collaboration, although planned over a years ago, has been influenced greatly by the current discussion on immigration during its development.

Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 85th season with Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize winning comedy-of-errors, HARVEY. The play is co-directed by veteran directors Jerry Hurley and Steve Bell and will be presented onstage October 28th - November 18th. Performances will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell with curtain at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays. Twelve very talented students will be honored at THE THEATER PROJECT'S fifteenth annual Young Playwrights Competition Performance and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 18, at the Cranford Community Center. These young writers represent ten different high schools and eight different towns. The three prize winners will see their work performed by the professional actors of The Theater Project; honorable mentions will be to be presented with citations and gift certificates. The event is free and open to the public.
