The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present its latest work, A Quest for Freedom, at New York City's City Center Studio 4 on Saturday, January 13 at 7pm and 8pm, and Sunday, January 14 at 12 noon and 12:30pm. The performances will showcase the company's latest collaboration with the renowned Korean American classical music powerhouse The Ahn Trio during the annual conference of the Association of the Performing Arts Presenters. The collaboration, although planned over a years ago, has been influenced greatly by the current discussion on immigration during its development.

Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 85th season with Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize winning comedy-of-errors, HARVEY. The play is co-directed by veteran directors Jerry Hurley and Steve Bell and will be presented onstage October 28th - November 18th. Performances will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell with curtain at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays. The Theater Project is once again reaching out to creative young people in its 16th annual Young Playwrights Competition. Winners receive cash prizes and see their work performed by professional actors at the awards ceremony in March of 2018.

Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhismis planning to hold the 'Korean Templestay and Temple Food Cultural Week' in New York, from September 24-30th. Templestay is a traditional cultural experience program allowing participants to experience the daily life of an ascetic in a temple deep in the mountains which is full of history and Korean Buddhist heritage.

The Leonia Chamber Musicians Society, Inc., a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, will launch the new season with the annual Home Gala Benefit in October, followed by the start of the 2017-2018 concert series in November in Leonia, New Jersey.

Jersey (New) Moves!, a collaboration of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and Dance New Jersey, has lent a strong supporting arm to emerging choreographers since 2015 by awarding mentorships that conclude with a showcase of new works at NJPAC.

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera, a nonprofit organization based in Bergen County, New Jersey, announces tenor Giovanni Simone of Fort Lee, New Jersey will perform the Messenger in the company's grand production of Giuseppe Verdi's classic work, AIDA, on April 23, 2017.  The opera will be performed at 3:00 p.m. at the Bergen Performing Arts Center, located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey. 

??????? BALAM Dance Theatre (BALAM), a non-profit professional dance theatre company, returns to New Jersey to premiere its new Out & About series program, Poetry Moves, created in honor of National Poetry Month to spotlight various modalities of poetic communication.

Twelve very talented students will be honored at THE THEATER PROJECT'S fifteenth annual Young Playwrights Competition Performance and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 18, at the Cranford Community Center. These young writers represent ten different high schools and eight different towns. The three prize winners will see their work performed by the professional actors of The Theater Project; honorable mentions will be to be presented with citations and gift certificates. The event is free and open to the public.
