The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, will present The Night of the Iguana, written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Michael Wilson. Performances begin on Saturday, February 18 and run through Saturday, March 18 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle St., Cambridge.

Talented Teens Win Opera Scholarships and Chance to Perform at Opera Australia

Young singers from NSW, ACT and Tasmania have won the 2017 Opera Australia Regional Student Scholarships. The four school students will fly to Sydney in January for a week-long first-hand experience with the national opera company. Performing for Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini is enough to make even the most seasoned opera singer feel a flutter of nerves. This year's scholarship winners will be doing exactly that, as well as gaining exclusive backstage access to witness the working life of an opera singer.

The Butterfly Conservatory: Tropical Butterflies Alive in Winter, an annual favorite visited by millions of children and adults, returns to the American Museum of Natural History on Saturday, December 10. Celebrating its 19th year at the Museum, this popular attraction transforms the coolest day into a summer escape, inviting visitors to mingle with up to 500 fluttering, iridescent butterflies among blooming tropical flowers and lush green vegetation in 80-degree temperatures. The Butterfly Conservatory will be on view through May 29, 2017.

English Touring Theatre today announces its spring season which features the world premiere of Silver Lining, a new comedy written by Sandi Toksvig, and a tour of the critically acclaimed Olivier Award winning Shakespeare's Globe production of Nell Gwynn, starring Laura Pitt-Pulford in the title role. It is the final season under the stewardship of Director Rachel Tackley who is leaving the company to become Executive Director of Chichester Festival Theatre. Richard Tywman takes over, having been Associate Director (International) of the Royal Court Theatre since 2013.
