The 33rd annual Buffalo International Jewish Film Festival – the third longest running festival of its kind in North America – will present 12 award-winning and critically acclaimed films from around the world including Australia, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, India, Israel, Poland, Sweden and the United States.

Jermyn Street Theatre announces The Reaction Season, its third as a producing theatre. Running from 10 April to 18 August, The Reaction Season will feature 15 plays and musicals - 12 of them one-act - based around themes of reacting and re-enacting.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) Artistic Director Terrence Mann and Executive Producer Matthew J. Pugliese are pleased to announce the lineup for the 2018 Nutmeg Summer Series.  The second season under the artistic leadership of three-time Tony Award nominee Mann will include "Disaster!", "Sweeney Todd: A Musical Thriller In Concert" and "Jesus Christ Superstar". The Nutmeg Summer Series will run June 7 through July 22.  Subscription packages are on sale February 1 for the season. New York critics gave many unfavorable reviews to Million Dollar Quartet for what they called a dearth of dramatic tension onstage, but it went on to receive a Tony nomination for Book of a Musical in 2010 anyway, and based on the overly passionate delivery of the sizzling artists recreating the show for 3-D Theatricals, there's enough fervor to bring audiences to their feet and shakin' in Redondo through February 18 and then in Cerritos until March 4. On opening night there was indeed an extra long standing - and swaying - ovation to 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On'.  

On Wednesday, September 19 at 8 pm, the Warner Theatre will welcome the national touring company, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Tony Award winning smash hit musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Tickets go on sale to Warner Members on Tuesday, February 13 at 10 am and to the General Public on Friday, February 16 at 10 am.

Part comedy, part mystery and part rock concert, playwright Lauren Yee's Cambodian Rock Band explores an overlooked chapter of history-1970s Cambodia with its vibrant surf-rock music scene and then under the Khmer Rouge regime. The play features songs by the Long Beach-based band Dengue Fever. The world premiere of this South Coast Repertory commission is directed by Chay Yew on the Julianne Argyros Stage, March 4-25. Ida's family is throwing her a birthday tea for her eighty-sixth birthday. Their efforts to be cheerful and make the event a success verge on the desperate. Ida is racked with pain and feels she has lived too long. As the painfully laboured celebrations go on, her third daughter Susan returns unexpectedly after an absence of 25 years. Tensions immediately flare between the sisters, whilst Ida struggles to recognise her.

Gioachino Rossini's laugh-out-loud romantic comedy returns to Opera Santa Barbara for the first time since 2001. The Barber of Seville has been entertaining audiences for more than 200 years with its outrageous stage antics and vocal acrobatics. Featuring some of opera's most recognizable tunes, audiences are sure to leave the theater singing Figaro, Figaro, Fiiiiiii-garo!

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the world premiere of MLIMA'S TALE, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage. Directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney, MLIMA'S TALE continues The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. MLIMA'S TALE begins performances on Tuesday, March 27 and runs through Sunday, May 20 in The Public's Martinson Hall, with an official press opening on Sunday, April 15.

Ellen's Stardust Diner, in the heart of the Theatre District in Times Square, is home to the world famous singing waiters known as the Stardusters.  On February 20, downstairs from Ellen's at The Iridium, five Broadway-bound Stardusters will be celebrating the music of the Great White Way as part of The New Faces of 2018 Starduster Showcase, presented by Ellen's Stardust Diner.

Adelaide born, multiple five star cabaret singer, writer and producer, Brigitte Baden-Rennie, returns from the UK with her new show "Peggy Lee: Is that all there Is?".

Today, Brooklyn's FEVER HIGH premiered their video for 'Good Advice (ft. Jeff Goldblum)' at Billboard, who called it an 'electro-pop jam.' The track is from the indie pop duo's recently released album FHNY, which expands further on the danceable, retro-tinged sound that The Guardian described as 'iridescent and infectious.'

Wilderness Films presents Moving Stories, a new documentary featuring members of Battery Dance directed by Rob Fruchtman and produced by Cornelia Ravenal, Mikael Sodersten and Wendy Sax. The film will be screened, with a discussion with the filmmakers and members of Battery Dance Company, on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 7pm at The Museum of Modern Art, 11 W. 53rd Street, NYC, as part of Doc Fortnight 2018: MoMA's International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media.
