What good is sitting alone in your room this week? If you don't already have plans to see a Broadway show, come out to see your favorite Broadway stars in a cabaret act instead. Highlights this week include:

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of Guards at the Taj by acclaimed playwright Rajiv Joseph, directed by ensemble member Amy Morton. A stunning tale about the search for beauty in desperate circumstances, the Steppenwolf production will feature the original cast members, Omar Metwally (Humayun) and Arian Moayed (Babur), whom Amy Morton directed in the Off-Broadway world premiere which received rave reviews when it premiered in 2015 and won the 2016 Obie Award for Best New American Play.

According to Variety, NBC has again delayed production of BYE BYE BIRDIE LIVE, starring Jennifer Lopez until 2019 at the earliest because of Lopez's schedule.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet, inspired by the electrifying true story, rocks the Crest Theatre at Old School Square on March 17 & 18.

Artistic Director Blake Robison announced Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2018-2019 season today, which features blockbuster musicals, contemporary comedies, world premieres and some of theatre's leading playwrights and directors.

Following a hugely successful tour in Spring 2017, award-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie will tour the UK again in 2018 opening at Richmond Theatre on Tuesday 27 March .

The Art of the Score, exploring some of the most distinctive uses of music in film, will return for its fifth season with Amadeus: Live, the New York Premiere screening of Amadeus with the Mozart-centered score performed live to the complete film. Conducted by Richard Kaufman in his Philharmonic debut and featuring Musica Sacra, directed by Kent Tritle, Amadeus: Live will take place Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m.; Saturday, April l4 at 7:30 p.m.; and Tuesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. On April 11 actor Alec Baldwin - Philharmonic Board Member and Artistic Advisor of The Art of the Score - and special guest F. Murray Abraham - who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Salieri - will introduce the film.

Mountain Fever Records is pleased to announce the release of a second single from the upcoming Dave Adkins album, Right Or Wrong. The new single, specifically geared toward gospel and bluegrass gospel radio programmers and fans, is titled 'I Can Only Imagine,' and is available today. 

The 2018 Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival has announced the award winners for its sixth annual event which featured exclusive premieres, panel discussions and virtual reality experiences. The festival took place from February 23-25 and featured special guest appearances by Armand Assante, Charles Baker,

Singers and musicians from the Black Broadway community will sing inspirational cover songs from their upcoming album: Darkness RISING. The concert benefits BLK HLTH, an organization which focuses on the wellness of the Black community. The concert will be held at The Triad NYC on Monday, April 2nd at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at triadnyc.com. The Triad is located at 158 W. 72nd St. (2 drink minimum)

The American Museum of Natural History continues One Step Beyond with DJ sets from Felix Da Housecat and Jovonn. The event will take place in the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Hall of the Universe on Friday, March 16.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) announces the full cast and creative team for William Shakespeare's tragicomedy The Winter's Tale, directed by OBIE Award-winner Arin Arbus. The production plays March 13-April 15, 2018, at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place), TFANA's home in the Brooklyn Cultural District.

Broadway Dance Lab (BDL), a non-profit choreography incubator supporting new works of dance-driven theatre, has announced that former New York City Ballet principal dancer, and Tony Award nominee, Robert Fairchild, will join Loni Landon and Ray Mercer as guest choreographers for the company's Spring 2018 Cycle. The Lab is set to begin on Feb. 26, and will culminate with a Gala performance on April 2 at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Incubus, Sublime with Rome and Fitz and the Tantrums were recently announced as the headliners for the inaugural SandJam Fest Presented by Pepsi adult-alternative rock music festival in beautiful Panama City Beach. This morning organizers announced an additional 20 acts will join the headliners and already announced Kaleo, St. Lucia and Capital Cities on the sugar-white sand at M. B. Miller Pier April 26-28, 2018.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) is pleased to announce the 2018 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. The MAC Board of Directors selected the nominees for Show of the Year. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories. The names of the songwriters in the Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories are being withheld during the voting period, but will be announced publicly as soon as the voting period concludes.

Le Petit Theatre Du Vieux Carre announced on their Facebook today that Bryan Batt (Mad Men, Scream: The TV Series, 12 Years a Slave) will return to the Le Petit stage in their next production, David Javerbaum's 'An Act of God.'

FROZEN had its first preview last night, February 22 at the St. James Theater! Starring Patti Murin and Caissie Levy as beloved Disney heroines Anna and Elsa, the musical is set for a March 22 opening. Get to know the cast below as they begin Broadway performances!
