Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have announced the casting for their forthcoming summer season of shows.

Gary Naylor has a lot of fun with the classic (is it too early to say so?) musical.

Based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon, this critically acclaimed new musical is created by a top-of-their-class creative team, led by Tony Award-winning director and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray). The smash hit musical Grease will end its triumphant West End run next spring prior to a UK tour. Grease returned to London on 25 July 2007 (with a press night on 8th August) and since its premiere the feel-good audience favourite has played over 1,300 performances and has been seen by over 1¼million theatregoers at the Piccadilly Theatre, where it is the longest running show in the venue's history. Grease will close on 30 April 2011 after nearly four electrifyin' years in the West End and will immediately begin a national tour opening at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 6 May 2011. Full tour schedule and casting will be announced.

Grease celebrates its third electrifying Birthday this July with a new leading lady. The producers announced that Lauren Samuels will join the cast of the smash-hit musical on 26 July 2010. Making her West End debut, Lauren will star in the iconic role of 'Sandy' until 22 January 2011 at London's Piccadilly Theatre. Noel Sullivan will continue as 'Danny' and Siubhan Harrison will also join the show in the role of 'Rizzo'.

Making his West End debut, the radio star will gain a host of angels when he joins the cast as ‘Teen Angel' for a limited season from 25 January to 20 March 2010 at London's Piccadilly Theatre.
