Here Lies Love, the smash hit off-Broadway musical at The Public Theater, played a critically raved-about, sold-out run last year at the same space, which was extended by popular demand four times. Under the direction of Alex Timbers, Here Lies Love was conceived by David Byrne, and features lyrics by Byrne, music by Byrne and Fatboy Slim, additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Here Lies Love, the smash hit off-Broadway musical at The Public Theater has announced that rush tickets are available for all performances. A limited number of $40 day-of-performance rush tickets will be available at The Public's Box Office (425 Lafayette Street, NYC) one hour before every performance. The Fall performance schedule is as follows: Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm, Fridays at 7 pm and 10:30 (the Late Night Disco!) and Saturdays at 5 pm and 9:30 pm. David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, directed by Alex Timbers begins Friday late night performances on Friday, September 12 at 10:30 p.m. at the Public Theater's LuEsther Hall (425 Lafayette Street, NYC). In addition to the late night performances, there will also be 7:00 p.m. performances on Fridays. This replaces the current Summer Friday schedule of 5:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. performances which play until Friday, September 5.

Featuring Public Works' signature blend of professional actors, community partner organizations, and special guests, Public Works' THE WINTER'S TALE will explode with authentic performances that come together to tell Shakespeare's beloved fable of hard-won joy and the promise of renewal for just three nights at the Delacorte in Central Park.

Cuisia, Philippine Ambassador to the U.S. and his wife, Maria Victoria caught the hit show about the life and times of Imelda Marcos and raved about it to the cast backstage after the performance.

The Daily Mail reports that Natalie Mendoza, who played 'Arachne' in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK during its long preview period, will step into the role of 'Imelda Marcos' in HERE LIES LOVE when it comes to London this fall at the National's Dorfman Theatre.

The Public's HERE LIES LOVE kicked off its 'Summer Friday' performances on Friday. On the Friday, July 11th kickoff, guests in attendance included Alan Rickman, Tommy Tune, Anika Larsen, After Midnight's Karine Plantadit, Andrew Andrew and Sirius XM's Julie James. A Woman on Top , the new musical for both sides of the aisle inspired by Hillary Clinton, previously announced the complete cast for a special industry reading next week. Reathel Bean (Caroline, Or Change) joins star Karen Mason, Drama Desk-nominated Broadway star of Wonderland, Mamma Mia and Sunset Boulevard, as well as Frank Vlastnik (Broadway: Big, The Sweet Smell of Success, A Year with Frog & Toad), Marni Nixon (Broadway: Nine, Follies; Film: The King and I, West Side Story, My Fair Lady) and Sarah Cetrulo (The Black Suits by Joe Iconis).

Imelda Marcos is a ripe public figure for having a biographic musical written about her. Personally, I always expected a musical about her life would have that grand and epic cinematic sound of Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA. However, I couldn't be more pleased with David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's rich pop score for HERE LIES LOVE.

Joan Rivers was seen dancing along with cast of the David Byrne/Fatboy Slim hit musical HERE LIES LOVE, directed by Alex Timbers at the Public Theatre. Joan opted not for the seated balcony but actually brought flats and joined the audience on the disco floor where the show takes place. She loved the show so much that she raved about it two days later on Fox 5's 'Good Day New York' as well as at her new book signing at Barnes & Noble on Union Square, telling fans, 'If you see one show this year, you must see HERE LIES LOVE. The Public Theatre production of David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's musical Here Lies Love will open at the new Dorfman Theatre (formerly the Cottesloe) in London. Here Lies Love plays from Tuesday, September 30, 2014 to Thursday, January 8, 2015 with a press night on Monday, October 13.
