Tony Award winner Faith Prince will guest star on the episode entitled 'Two Balls' in the role of Sid's Mom.

A feature on FIRST WIVES CLUB musical's official blog details Broadway in Chicago's recent event to introduce the show at Chicago Playhouse. ABC premiered the pilot episode of its new medieval musical comedy television show, GALAVANT, at a star-studded event at the Sayers Club last night in Hollywood. The series, from executive producer & screenwriter Dan Fogelman (Tangled, Cars, and Crazy, Stupid, Love), features music by Disney heavy hitters Alan Menken (music) & Glenn Slater (lyrics) and will debut on January 4, 2015 at 8/7c.

First Wives Club, a new Broadway-bound musical, will soon premiere at Chicago's Oriental Theatre. Tony Award-winner Faith Prince will play 'Brenda,' Mamma Mia's Christine Sherrill will play 'Elise,' and Wicked star Carmen Cusack will play 'Annie,' in the iconic roles created on film by Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton, respectively. With a book by five-time Emmy Award nominee Linda Bloodworth Thomason, direction by Simon Phillips and songs by Motown legends Holland-Dozier-Holland, First Wives Club: The Musical will have its out-of-town premiere at Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph Street). Previews begin February 17, 2015 and opening night is set for March 11, 2015 for a run that will go through March 29, 2015. Below, watch as the songwriting team chats about creating the new musical!

A modernization of the original show which starred Rosemary Clooney, this version presents four fabulous musical stars who each take a turn performing their signature material and some music of the season, with Music Direction by John McDaniel.

The multi-faceted musical director/arranger/accompanist/composer Alex Rybeck flexed his talent this past Sunday night, sharing songs of every ilk with an appreciatively packed 54 Below. 'Tonight is proof positive that dreams come true, just not how you imagine. I always thought you had to have a hit song to headline an evening here…' Delivered by many of his celebrated singer friends he's worked with often (including the Callaway Sisters, Liz and Ann), entertaining selections from the writer's canon included bossa nova, ballads, musical theater numbers, pop, comic turns, seasonal songs, and 'Serenade,' a haunting piece of music the author composed for his mother which seemed like portraiture: strong, proud, thoughtful, warm, light.

Variety reports that on Halloween this year, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures held a private reading of a new musical adaptation of the film DAVE.
