DreamWorks Announces Open Call for Jackman-led 'Real Steel'

ET Online is reporting that DreamWorks Studios is holding an open call for a young male actor for a lead role in upcoming film ‘Real Steel,' starring Hugh Jackman. The role in question is Max, a 'street-smart, tough, charming kid with a hard, untrusting outer shell which hides a warm enthusiastic spirit...a complicated, strong-willed and resourceful boy.' DreamWorks is looking for a 10-14 year old male actor for the part.
Hugh Jackman Rumored to Star in 'Snow Flower and the Secret Fan' Flick

According to a report that originated in the Shanghai-based Oriental Morning Post, Hugh Jackman will star in Wayne Wang's 'Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.' The Post also reported that Li Bingbing has replaced Zhang Ziyi in the film. Also starring is Joen Ji-Hyun. Jackman is expected to begin filming in mid-February in a studio near Shanghai.
Banderas Signa on to 'Knockout' Flick

According to Variety, Antonia Banderas and Bill Paxton will join the cast of 'Knockout' along with mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano. Steven Soderbergh's new film is an action-thriller with a script by Lem Dobbs. The two also worked together on 'The Limey' and 'Kafka.'

DRG Records is releasing a recording of Jane Krakowski's nightclub debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency. The recording is set to be released on March 23 and will be available in all major online and retail outlets. The show, which played the famed Fienstein's at Lowes Regency from October 6 through October 17, featured songs popularized by female performers who have inspired her such as Anita O'Day, Ann-Margret and Eartha Kitt.
