Lincoln Center Theater's 'Platform Series' Continues with WAR HORSE, 4/6 & 13

Lincoln Center Theater's free-to-the-public Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, continues its 12th season with two between-performance talks with the creators of WAR HORSE, on Wednesday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 13, at 5:45pm.

Previews Begin Tomorrow for WAR HORSE!

Previews begin Tuesday, March 15 for the National Theatre of Great Britain's production of WAR HORSE, presented by Lincoln Center Theater and the National Theatre of Great Britain in association with Bob Boyett. WAR HORSE is based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford, with Handspring Puppet Company, and directed by Marianne Eliott and Tom Morris. Opening night is Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 pm at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

James Purefoy, Sheridan Smith & Sienna Miller to Star in Nunn-Directed FLARE PATH

James Purefoy and Sheridan Smith will join Sienna Miller in Terence Rattigan's Flare Path, directed by Trevor Nunn at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Opening on 10 March 2011 with previews from 4 March 2011 Flare Path is booking until 4 June 2011. Set and costumes are by Stephen Brimson Lewis. Flare Path is produced by Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions, Tom McKitterick and the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company in association with Act Productions Ltd.

Trevor Nunn to Direct Sienna Miller in Rattigan's Flare Path at Theatre Royal Haymarket

Trevor Nunn is to direct Sienna Miller in Terence Rattigan's Flare Path in the first of a series of productions he will present as Artistic Director of the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company. Opening on 10 March 2011 with previews from 4 March 2011 Flare Path is booking until 4 June 2011. Set and costumes are by Stephen Brimson Lewis. Flare Path is produced by Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions, Tom McKitterick and the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company in association with Act Productions Ltd. Further casting will be announced shortly as well as details of Trevor Nunn's other productions.

Tiffany & Hogget to Helm ONCE on Bway; Creative Team Announced

Smuggler Films partners, John N. Hart & Patrick Milling Smith and film and theatre producers, Fred Zollo and Barbara Broccoli & Michael G Wilson have announced the creative team for upcoming stage adaptation of the 2007 Academy Award-winning film ONCE, coming to Broadway in Fall 2011. The musical will feature the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright & screenwriter, Enda Walsh (Penelope, Hunger, The New Electric Ballroom), direction by the acclaimed Scottish director of Black Watch, John Tiffany, design by five time Tony Award winner Bob Crowley (The Coast of Utopia, Mary Poppins). Steven Hoggett (American Idiot, Black Watch) will provide musical staging and Martin Lowe (Mamma Mia!) is the music director.

Cast of 35 Announced for WAR HORSE on Broadway!

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of the National Theatre of Great Britain's production of WAR HORSE to be presented this spring by Lincoln Center Theater and the National Theatre of Great Britain in association with Bob Boyett.

Toby Jones And Niamh Cusack To Star In THE PAINTER

Toby Jones will play one of the most celebrated British artists: Joseph Mallord William Turner - in the world premiere of The Painter by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, written to open the new Arcola Theatre at 24 Ashwin Street in January 2011.

Burstyn & Kane Join Knightley & Moss in CHILDREN'S HOUR

Ellen Burstyn and Carol Kane as well as Bryony Hannah and Tobias Menzies are to join the previously announced Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss in Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour. The Children's Hour, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions & Scott Landis, will have its first preview at the Comedy Theatre on 22 January 2011 with press night on 9 February and is booking until 2 April 2011.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) Artistic Directors Vivienne Benesch and Ethan McSweeny today announced the final production of the 2010 season: William Shakespeare's Macbeth. Directed by CTC veteran Andrew Borba and featuring CTC's full complement of 14 Conservatory members, Macbeth opens on August 13 and runs through August 21.

The Wilma Theater's LEAVING, Closes 6/20

The Wilma Theater concludes its 2009 - 2010 Season with the U.S. Premiere of Leaving, by Václav Havel. The first play in 20 years from playwright and former Czech President Havel, Leaving will receive its U.S. Premiere production under co-Artistic Director Jiri Zizka's direction, with Academy Award® nominee David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck) starring in the role of ex-Chancellor Dr. Vil?m Rieger.

The Wilma Theater Celebrates Havel's Legacy 5/30

Inspired by the U.S. Premiere of Leaving, by Václav Havel, The Wilma Theater will conduct two symposium sessions exploring Havel's legacy and the historical and dramatic background of Leaving, his first new play in over 20 years.

Dominc Tighe Joins Arden & Kingsley in ASPECTS OF LOVE Revival in July

Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow, Tuesday 18 May at 12 noon, for the first major London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Charles Hart's Aspects of Love, directed by Trevor Nunn at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Aspects of Love previews from 07 July with press night on 15 July and is running until 26 September. Designs are by David Farley with choreography by Lynne Page, lighting by Paul Pyant, musical supervision by Caroline Humphris, orchestrations by David Cullen and sound by Gareth Owen. Trevor Nunn previously directed the world premiere of Aspects of Love and returns to the piece to direct this new intimate version.
