Tim Firth's award-winning musical plays in the newly refurbished Lyceum Theatre

In 2013, This Is My Family, a new musical comedy from the pen of Tim Firth (Calendar Girls), took Sheffield by storm - smashing Box Office records, attracting critical plaudits and winning the prestigious UK Theatre Award for Best Musical. Now, this hilarious show takes to the Belgrade Theatre stage from Tues 28 Oct - Sat 1 Nov as part of a limited national tour.

Following a critically acclaimed, award-winning run last year in the Studio, Daniel Evans' production of Tim Firth's musical This Is My Family returns to Sheffield Theatres from Thursday 9 - Saturday 18 October, ahead of a national tour to Royal & Derngate Northampton, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Liverpool Playhouse and The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.

Full casting is announced today for COOL RIDER, the cult musical sequel in concert, which will play two performances only on Monday 27 January2014 at the West End's Lyric Theatre. Due to popular demand, 100 additional seats have also been released for the 11.00pm performance, with the7.30pm performance sold out. First-look images are also released today of Reece Shearsmith as Mr Stuart, Ashleigh Gray as Stephanie and Aaron Sidwell as Michael.

With his production of The Full Monty on national tour, and The Daughter-in-Law opening earlier this week, Artistic Director Daniel Evans announces the new season for Sheffield Theatres.

Lawrence's masterpiece The Daughter-in-Law and Alan Bennett's The History Boys, and Sheffield People's Theatre present their second production, 20 Tiny Plays about Sheffield. Full casting for My Fair Lady, the Crucible Christmas musical is also announced today.

The Threesixty Theatre brings its 1,300 seat state-of-the-art tent to Boston's City Hall Plaza, transforming the barren expanse into a magical land filled with flying fairies, Lost Boys, pirates, and the delightful boy who refuses to grow up. 3D projections are brilliantly colorful, larger than life, and immerse both cast and audience into a world of computer-generated imagery (CGI), unlike any other theater experience.

Following Sunday night's Olivier Awards, a rush of Tweets wondered if Spring Awakening might be revived due to its success. Its two Welsh leads, Aneurin Barnard and Iwan Rheon, received a double win as Best Actor in a Musical and Best Supporting Performance in a Musical respectively. While the show recieved penty of critical plaudits, the musical failed to survive longer than five weeks in the West End after its transfer from its sold-out Lyric Hammersmith run.
