MCC Theater presents the New York premiere production of Paul Downs Colaizzo's Really Really, directed by David Cromer (the Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning director of hits Our Town, Adding Machine and Tribes). An official opening is set for Tuesday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m. As announced on January 29th, the world premiere of Really Really, which opened in February 2012 at the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre in D.C., has been nominated for 'The Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical' at this year's Helen Hayes Awards. As previously noted, MCC's New York premiere of Really Really marks a brand new production of the play directed by Cromer.

Tony Award winning producers Scott and Brian Zeilinger have officially announced that Human, a new play by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale), will premiere on Broadway in the 2013-14 Season. Directed by Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (The House of Blue Leaves, Guys and Dolls), Human will have a New York reading on Friday, September 7th with a cast that features Chazz Palminteri, Evan Jonigkeit, Sophie Monk (Date Movie), Tony Award nominee Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park), and Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite).

Last night, June 18, The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Delacorte Theater, home of Shakespeare in the Park, and honored Al Pacino for his body of work at The Public. The evening included a benefit reading of Romeo and Julie featuring Kevin Kline as Romeo and Meryl Streep as Juliet. On hand to celebrate were the likes of Julia Stiles, Chelsea Clinton, Steve Martin and many more who have both particiated and enjoyed the works at the Delacorte.
