Gemini CollisionWorks presents the world premiere of THE GOLFER by Brian Parks. Directed by Ian W. Hill, previews begin March 24 at the Brick Theater. Opening night is slated for Sunday, March 27.

The Hollywood and Broadway theater community have come together to save the late Lucille Lortel, Queen of Off-Broadway's White Barn Theater in Norwalk, Connecticut. A recent New York Times article has rallied the theatrical community to voice their concern and support for the historic theater.

The Leader by Eugene Ionesco is a satire on mass adulation of political leaders. A group of people are waiting...the announcer, diligently awaits the Leader and excitedly lauds his most mundane actions. The Leader finally arrives and he is not what they expect him to be. Through the use of character The Leader highlights the absurdist and existential themes of non-personalization and loss of identity.

Curio Theatre Company continues its 11th Season with an updated take on Eugene Ionesco's, The Bald Soprano. This adaptation is by Tina Howe. Charlotte Northeast directs. This absurdist classic runs tonight, December 2, through December 19. Opening night is Friday, December 4 at 8 p.m.

NORD HAUSEN FLY ROBOT is an investigation by Gemini CollisionWorks (Ian W. Hill: Arts/Berit Johnson: Crafts) into a 55-page anonymous online comment left on a political website that at first seems nothing more than an incomprehensible, stream-of-consciousness tirade, but on repeated examination suggests a poetic, albeit confused, summary of US History post-WWII from a marginalized voice - making it part 3 in GCW's Invisible Republic series, following 2006's That's What We're Here For and 2008's Everything Must Go.

Curio Theatre Company has announced its 2015-2016 Season. The company's 11th Season includes new looks at modern classic works of theatre.  The season will open with the Philadelphia Premiere of a one-woman staging of The Handmaid's Tale (October 15-November 14). It continues with The Bald Soprano (December 2-December 19). 2016 kicks off with the production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman (February 4-March 5). The season concludes with Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan (April 21-May 21).

Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) today announces the three new plays that will comprise its 34th season. The line-up includes Exposed by Robert Brustein, Back the Night by Melinda Lopez and Rhinoceros adapted by Wesley Savick.

Beginning this Saturday, the Elite Theatre Company's South Stage will be presenting Zero Hour, a one-man play about legendary actor Zero Mostel. The project is near and dear to the heart of actor John Medeiros, who has tried to get it produced for almost 5 years. Medeiros has performed in two roles made famous by Mostel, Pseudolus (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) and Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof). He won the Four Star Alliance Award in 2013 for Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal of Tevye.
