Creative Cauldron will ring in the holidays with Madeline's and the Gypsies, a musical adaptation of the classic book by the author/illustrator Ludwig Bemelmans. Barry Kornhauser adapted the book and Michael Koerner wrote the musical score. The production is directed and choreographed by Matt Conner. Scenic and Costume Designer Margie Jervis and Lighting Designer John Sami have created a whimsical visual world for the play inspired by Bemelmans' classic illustrations. Madeline and the Gypsies runs from tonight, December 4 - 27, 2015 at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 South Maple Avenue. Curtain times are Todays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm with an additional performance on December 27 at 4:30 pm. Press night is Saturday, December 5 at 7:30 pm.

What possibly could be said or written about a production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Jr. that hasn't already been announced countless times? Probably nothing except the one word 'tradition' and that's the lasting essence of this theatrical phenomenon on two levels for this BRAVO@KAT student production. The show retells the ethnic traditions of a specific family but it has universal appeal. The 'tradition' here is a dual one because it includes the re-enactment of the cherished Broadway tradition of teaching new generations of American children the theatrical classics of our culture.

Denver Center Attractions announces the 2013 nominees for The Bobby G Awards - the Colorado regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards. Fifteen public and private high schools in the seven Denver metro counties participated in the inaugural season. The awards ceremony, on May 30 at 7pm in The Seawell Grand Ballroom, includes performances from the shows nominated for outstanding overall production and honors outstanding achievements by students and educators made in the areas of performance, design, direction, choreography, technical production and overall production excellence.

In 2003 The Metropolitan Museum of Art acquired from New York connoisseur Wheelock Whitney a comprehensive survey of sketches painted between 1785 and 1850 by many of the most notable artists of the French school who worked in this medium. The series is intended to highlight new works and showcase up-and-coming playwrights.
