David Calder joins the West End cast of The Nether to play Doyle, previewing at the Duke of York's Theatre from 30 January 2015 and opening on 23 February. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, Jennifer Haley's critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning play is booking for 12weeks only to 25 April 2015. According to the Daily Mail, director Lyndsey Turner and producer Sonia Friedman are in talks with National Theatre Live to film the Barbican Theatre's Summer 2015 production of HAMLET, starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role. The production would screen in theaters next year.

Lyndsey Turner's production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the title role, will begin performances at the Barbican Theatre on 5 August 2015, with opening night on 25 August at 7pm. The twelve week limited run will conclude on 31 October 2015. Set design is by Es Devlin. Further casting and details for this production will be announced at a later date. Hamlet will be produced by Sonia Friedman Productions.

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway announced the nominees this morning for the 2013-14 season.

Oh-so-justly, Chimerica has scooped up a handful of Olivier Awards, including the highly coveted award for Best New Play. Produced in conjunction with Headlong and originally playing at the Almeida (before a successful transfer to the Harold Pinter Theatre), Lucy Kirkwood's intelligent, moving drama tells of the 'tank man' from the historic image of 1976 Tianenmen Square.
