David Burgess to Bring Brazilian Solo Guitar Music to Centenary Stage, 9/26

Recently returned from a seven city European concert tour, Centenary Stage Company welcomes New York guitarist David Burgess to perform some of Brazil's finest solo guitar music on Saturday, September 26 at 8pm in the David and Carol Lackland Center on the campus of Centenary College.

Florida Grand Opera Announces 2015-16 Class of Young Artists

Florida Grand Opera (FGO) is pleased to announce the members of its 2015-16 class for its Young Artist Program. These artists, consisting of both new and returning members, were selected from more than 600 singers who auditioned for the coveted program.

The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University's "Made in Chicago" Series continues with River North Dance Chicago (RNDC), tonight, March 28 at 7:30 p.m., presenting two world premiere pieces in a single evening. The performance features "Beast," the choreographic debut of RNDC company member Hanna Brictson, and the all-new "the frost that binds" by three-time RNDC guest choreographer Adam Barruch. Led by 2014 Chicagoan of the Year (Chicago Tribune) Frank Chaves, RNDC continues their 25th Anniversary celebration with this versatile, fresh spring performance. Lame, rhinestones and sequins shimmer like stars on stage this November when Milwaukee Rep reprises Liberace! at the Stackner Cabaret beginning this November. Every holiday season flashes glitter and gold, and The Rep's Associate Artistice Director Brent Hazelton wrote and directed this inspiring musical revue based on the life of Milwaukee's iconic entertainer Wladziu Valentino Liberace, who was once nicknamed the Guru of Glitter.

TSO to Close 2013-14 Season with Light Classics Program Featuring Ravel, Copland, Gershwin and More

In the final month of the 2013/2014 season, TSO musicians will claim the spotlight in an engaging Light Classics programme that includes the electrifying crescendo of Ravel's famous Bolero and Brahms's merry medley of German student songs. Led by RBC Resident Conductor Shalom Bard, Niccolo Paganini's Sonata per la gran viola will provide the dazzling showpiece for Principal Viola Teng Li, while Principal Oboe Sarah Jeffrey will steal the spotlight in Calla Lilies by Canadian composer Marjan Mozetich.
