Single Tickets Go on Sale 7/5 for Signature Theatre's 2010-11 Season

Single tickets for Signature Theatre's 2010-2011 season go on sale Monday, July 5 at 10:00 am. The Tony Award(r)-winning company's 21st season begins on August 10 with the musical Chess by the composers of Mamma Mia! and continues through June with Yasmina Reza's award-winning play Art, Side by Side by Sondheim, and the world premieres of Ken Ludwig's A Fox on the Fairway, Joe Calarco's Walter Cronkite Is Dead., and Joseph Thalken's Wheatley's Folly.

Signature Theatre To Seek New Talent With 'Signature Idol', Deadline Set For 7/5

The Tony Award(r)-winning Signature Theatre is searching for the ten best new solo singers in the DC region to compete in 'Signature Idol' on Saturday, July 17. Judged by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer, Washington Post theater critic Peter Marks, and a special Broadway guest, the 'Signature Idol' competition is a highlight of the Target Open House where the ten finalists will audition publicly in the 276-seat MAX Theatre at 5:00 pm.

Writer/actors Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell will have the mind-bending opportunity to watch themselves played by Washington actors, Sam Ludwig and James Gardiner, at the performance then discuss the show afterwards in Signature's remarkably intimate 110-seat ARK Theatre. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Extends To January 2011 At The Apollo Theater

Beginning Friday, June 18, a new block of tickets will be on sale for performances through January 2, 2011, of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Tony-nominated musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together legendary rock ‘n' roll icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley.
