Today, Curator Michael Green announced the 2011 line up for the 25th annual High Performance Rodeo, Calgary's International Festival of the Arts. The popular festival runs January 6 to 30, 2011 at various venues throughout Calgary and will feature a collection of the boldest and the brightest artists from the realms of theatre, dance, comedy, music and visual arts.

The Theatre School at DePaul University presents THE SECRET GARDEN, written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, adapted by Pamela Sterling, and directed by John Jenkins, as the opening production of the 2010-2011 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series. This production opens Tuesday, October 30, and runs through Saturday, December 4, 2010, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10 AM and Saturdays at 2 PM. There will be no performances on November 23, 25, 26, 27, or 30. There will be a special performance held on December 1, at 10AM.

Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys and Understudies with its next editions of At This Performance…™ to be held on Sunday, October 17th and Monday, October 18th at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, 2162 Broadway, (above the Promenade Theatre- Broadway at 76th Street), 3rd Floor at 8 PM.

The Wilton Playshop will hold auditions for its season opening production of the Tony Award winning musical comedy URINETOWN (music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann, lyrics and book by Greg Kotis) on September 1, September 7 and September 8, from 7 to 10 PM at The Wilton Playshop, Lovers Lane, Wilton. Callbacks, if needed, will be on September 9.

Broadway In Chicago along with producers DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd. launched the First National Tour of SHREK: The Musical in Chicago on July 13, 2010.
