Donna the Buffalo is joining forces with legendary Producer/ Engineer Rob Fraboni to record their next album February 2018 at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX. It is one of the world's largest residential recording studios and is built around an 80-year-old hacienda and pecan orchard right along the border. Fraboni is well known for his work with Bob Dylan, The Band, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Tim Hardin, The Beach Boys, Joe Cocker, and Bonnie Raitt, and as Vice President at Island Records where he oversaw the remastering of the entire Bob Marley catalog. He produced the soundtrack on Martin Scorsese's groundbreaking concert movie, The Last Waltz, which included an all-star cast of famous rock and roll performers. He built and designed the legendary Shangri-La studios in Malibu to the specification of Bob Dylan and the Band. Referred to as a 'genius' by Keith Richards in his bestselling autobiography Life.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for Toots & The Maytals will go on sale Friday, February 23 at 10 a.m.   Toots Hibbert is one of the great voices of Jamaica and The Maytals built their reputation with energetic straight-from-church style of singing and their "spiritual" ska beat. Toots & The Maytals will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Strauss Square in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Due to an overwhelming response from theaters in North America, the film has already been booked into more than 75 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, with the list growing daily. The International roll-out of the film will be announced next week.

Buddy Guy will be taking the stage at the Morrison Center Thursday, June 21st at 7:30 pm.  At age 81, Buddy Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a major influence on rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, a pioneer of Chicago's fabled West Side sound, and a living link to the city's halcyon days of electric blues. Buddy Guy has received 7 GRAMMY Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, 37 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #23 in its '100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.'

Gary Clark Jr., Grammy Award-winning, genre-spanning guitar virtuoso has confirmed his first tour of 2018, which begins in Lafayette, LA on May 31. Clark and company will crisscross the country and conclude with four consecutive shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA on June 22. Blues legend Buddy Guy and guitar powerhouse Jonny Lang are teaming up to perform live at the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Houston St.) in San Antonio, TXon May 18, 2018 at 8PM. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 9 at 10AM.

The newest addition to the Showtime Documentary Films slate, OPERATION ODESSA will make its world premiere at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas. The documentary will premiere on Showtime on Saturday, March 31 at 9 PM ET/PT on-air, on demand and over the internet. From the director and producers of The Seven Five, OPERATION ODESSA is a true crime documentary about a Russian mobster, a Miami playboy and a Cuban spy who sold a Soviet submarine to a Colombian drug cartel for $35 million. An early '90s gangster epic that hopscotches from Brooklyn to Miami and Cali to Moscow, the film tells the true story of three friends who set out to hustle the Russian mob, the Cali cartel and the DEA for the score of a lifetime. What really happened to the sub, the money and the three amigos has remained a shadowy underworld myth until now.

Irish Arts Center presents Masters in Collaboration XII: Rhiannon Giddens Meets Dirk Powell (February 9-11), the next chapter in a series that, since its launch in 2008, has consistently served as a risk-rewarding incubator and platform for the merging of musical talents outside the dynamics of the commercial marketplace. Last season, the collaboration between Cassandra Wilson and Liam Maonla fostered at IAC blossomed into an international tour to Dublin, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, with an ensemble of top jazz, folk and Irish musicians from both sides of the Atlantic, in a performance where their innate musicality allowed their distinct vocabularies to speak as one (Chicago Tribune).
