American Blues Theater concludes its 2017-2018 Season with BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story, written by Alan Janes, directed by Lily-Anne Brown, with musical direction by Ensemble Member Michael Mahler. BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story runs April 27 - May 26, 2018 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. 

Half way between Houston and Victoria Texas sits a town with a population around 11,600.  In this city sits a young man with hopes and aspirations of sharing the songs he composes with the world.  His name is JOEL Hernandez.  JOEL, having shown an aptitude for music and songwriting capabilities at a very early age gained the immediate backing of his entire family.  This led to JOEL meeting up with west coast Grammy nominated songwriter, producer, musician Rodney Alejandro of SweetSpot Entertainment.  Rodney was deeply impressed and moved to connect the up and coming JOEL with the much sought after professional musicians Ben Sargeant, Ian O'Neill, and Michael “Nomad” Ripoll.  They banded together and Rodney produced JOEL's  March 2018 release “Seasons Change”. 

The newly revamped national tour of 'Let It Be' includes a fantasy 'reunion' of the group on John Lennon's 40th birthday, October 9, 1980, two months before his murder. The group combined note-perfect renditions of two dozen Beatles songs as well as songs from the group members' solo careers during the 1970s in a generally entertaining, nostalgic trip to the glory years of the Fab Four.

Grammy and Brit Award winning musician Midge Ure returns to North America this summer on a co-headline tour with old friend, and fellow Brit, Paul Young. The first leg of the 'Soundtrack of your Life' Tour will hit Texas, the Midwest and Northeast with more to be announced including a second leg hitting the west coast in August. 

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, due to overwhelming demand, is adding a third performance on Thursday, December 28, at 7:00 p.m.     The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to Music Hall with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert, the second film in the Harry Potter series. Previously announced, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra will perform John Williams' unforgettable score live from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen on December 29-30.

Joe McGinty & The Losers Lounge, perform the music of one of the greatest rock & roll concert movies of all times – The Last Waltz! Directed by Martin Scorsese, and released in April of 1978, The Last Waltz features performances by Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr, Neil Young, The Staple Singers, Dr. John, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Ronnie Hawkins, and of course The Band: Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson.

Pattie Boyd was the wide-eyed, model face of Sixties' London who inspired ex-husbands George Harrison and Eric Clapton to write some of the greatest love songs of the 20th century. Most famously, Harrison wrote for her Something, and I Need You. Gripped by the desire to wrest Boyd from the arms of an increasingly errant Beatle, blues-god Clapton wrote Layla, and once they were married, Wonderful Tonight.

The newest addition to the Showtime Documentary Films slate, OPERATION ODESSA, made its world premiere at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas. The documentary will premiere on SHOWTIME on Saturday, March 31 at 9 PM ET/PT on-air, on demand and over the internet. From the director and producers of The Seven Five, OPERATION ODESSA is a true crime documentary about a Russian mobster, a Miami playboy and a Cuban spy who sold a Soviet submarine to a Colombian drug cartel for $35 million. An early '90s gangster epic that hopscotches from Brooklyn to Miami and Cali to Moscow, the film tells the true story of three friends who set out to hustle the Russian mob, the Cali cartel and the DEA for the score of a lifetime. What really happened to the sub, the money and the three amigos has remained a shadowy underworld myth until now.

The award-winning trio Band of Friends: A Celebration of Rory Gallagher is making its long-awaited debut in the United States with a series of tour dates April 5-24. A highly-influential Irish blues-rock legend listed 57th on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," Gallagher's legacy will be honored live on stage by the former Rory Gallagher Band rhythm section of Gerry McAvoy (bass) and Ted McKenna (drums), as well as blues-folk-rock prodigy Davy Knowles (guitar, vocals), who is teaming up with Band of Friends for the first time ever for this run of American dates.

Known as “The Supergroup That Never Was,” Corky Laing's POMPEII recorded The Secret Sessions between 1976 and 1978 after a re-introduction to old friend Ian Hunter via Steve Wax of Elektra / Asylum. Laing recalls, “The late 70s was a turbulent time as the musical taste went through a generational change. Punk was just beginning to surface in the rock landscape. It replaced the increasingly complacent era of glam and classic rock with a new confrontational and rebellious attitude.
