Filmmaker Art Holliday is hosting a September 19th fundraising concert 'Johnnie's Jam: A Tribute to Johnnie Johnson' at The Sheldon for his music documentary JOHNNIE BE GOOD, the story of St. Louis native and Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson. This film is also featured on the site IndieGoGo where people can 'buy' various tax deductible items from the film while helping Mr. Holliday build up the funds needed to finish the film.

Sheryl Crow to Compose Score for 'Diner' Adaptation on Broadway?

TVNZ reports that Cheryl Crow may be at work on a Broadway score for a stage adaptaton of the film, Diner. The songstress recently contributed a strip-tease number to the New York stage show. Revealing few details, Crow remarked: 'A friend of mine has asked me to write the music for the Broadway musical version of the film 'Diner...' There's a scene where these three women do a striptease and I came up with the music for it. It's so good I could strip to it. And I'm 48.'
