Burning Coal Theatre Company will present OBIE award winning actor/director Randolph Curtis Rand's Embodied Shakespeare Intensive on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from Noon to 4 pm at Burning Coal's rehearsal warehouse

At the conclusion of this final season, which begins with the world premiere of A Map of Virtue by Erin Courtney in February, the collective of American playwrights will have realized full productions by each of its 13 members.

Dodge City Entertainment presents the New York premiere of The Other Man, by Mark Botts and Bryant Martin, directed by Ms. Kimberly Faith Hickman, which will begin performances on Wednesday February 22, 2012, at 410 West 42nd Street in the Studio Theatre between 9th and 10th Avenues.

People's Light & Theatre will feature staged readings of four plays this year as part of its pilot program Community Matters. The readings include Dispatches from (A)mended America on Monday, February 27th at 7pm; Eclipsed on Monday, March 26th at 7pm; Beautiful Boy on Monday, May 14th at 7pm; and Schoolhouse on Monday, June 11th at 7pm.

Avila Productions, LLC, by special arrangement with Cherry Lane Theatre in association with Jack Sharkey, has announced the world premiere of TERESA'S ECSTASY, written by Begonya Plaza and directed by Will Pomerantz.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company today announced an exciting addition to CSC's performance line up with the regional premier of Vern Thiessen's "Shakespeare's Will". For a limited run of only ten performances, this captivating one-woman show features CSC Ensemble member Sherman Fracher and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips. "Shakespeare's Will" will run concurrently with CSC's production of "Henry VIII: All is True" through February 5, 2012.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Carl Forsman, Artistic Director/Damon Chua, Executive Director) today announced that John Cunningham would join Kathleen Chalfant and Kate Turnbull for Tina Howe's Painting Churches, the 1983 Pulitzer Prize finalist. Keen Artistic Director Carl Forsman directs. Mr. Cunningham replaces the previously announced Richard Easton, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict. Performances will begin February 14, with Opening Night set for March 6.

Performances of A Map of Virtue will take place February 6-25 at the 4th Street Theatre. The 4th Street Theatre is located at 83 East 4th Street in New York City.

Artistic Director Chay Yew and Executive Director Jan Kallish announce the Chicago Premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Tony-nominated play In the Next Room or the vibrator play directed by Associate Artistic Director Sandy Shinner. The production closes October 9, 2011 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The Press Opening is Monday, September 19, 2011.

The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College presents Another Life, a new play by Karen Malpede, starring George Bartenieff and Eunice Wong, as part ofThe 9/11 Performance Project.

In her smart comedy The Book Club Play, D.C.-area playwright Karen Zacarías examines the intricacies of book clubs, with their unspoken rules, high-spirited debates and strong bonds formed when least expected. With an ensemble cast featuring Fred Arsenault, Ashlie Atkinson, Rachael Holmes, Eric Messner, Kate Eastwood Norris and Tom Story, this is Zacarías' second collaboration with Director Molly Smith at Arena Stage and is the first work of a Resident Playwright to be produced as part of their three-year residencies through the American Voices New Play Institute. The Book Club Play runs October 7-November 6, 2011 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.
