Monty Python Announces Ruby Jubilee At Royal Albert Hall 10/23, New Book Published & More As Part Of 40th Anniversary

Monty Python will celebrate its Ruby Jubilee later this year on stage, in print and on television in London, Hollywood and in New York. As well as performances of An Evening with Without Monty Python at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre (23 September - 4 October) and at the Town Hall New York (6 - 10 October), the publication of a new book, Monty Python Live! and a new 6 part documentary series - Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer's Cut) scheduled for transmission on October, London will host, for one night only on Friday 23 October 2009, the European premiere of Eric Idle and John Du Prez's Not The Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall.

Now the life of the troubled screen goddess, one of Hollywood's most beautiful icons from the golden age of movies, is coming to the West End in Marilyn, a dance musical that celebrates her all-too-brief life.

Barbara Cook's 6/2 Performance Of AN EVENING WITH BARBARA COOK Cancelled

Broadway legend Barbara Cook will return to the New York Philharmonic for a one-night-only performance Saturday, May 30, at 8:00 p.m., conducted by her acclaimed music director, Lee Musiker. Ms. Cook plans to bring to the Avery Fisher Hall stage songs she has never before performed with the New York Philharmonic, such as Stephen Sondheim's 'Send in the Clowns' from A Little Night Music, selections from Meredith Wilson?s The Music Man, and Sondheim?s ?No One Is Alone? from Into the Woods.

Barbara Cook to Kick Off Boston Pops 2009 Season 5/6

Keith Lockhart and The Boston Pops will kick off its 2009 season at Symphony Hall with a gala concert on May 6 and 7 featuring Tony Award winner Barbara Cook. Lockhart is celebrating his 15th season as conductor with the Pops.

BC/EFA Presents DANCERS RESPONDING TO AIDS Benefit 1/23

The Cedar Lake Theater in West Chelsea will come to life on Friday, January 23 with a thrilling evening of dance to benefit Dancers Responding To AIDS (DRA), a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BCEFA). Hosted by Tony Award winning choreographer Rob Ashford, this gala event guarantees to be a soul-stirring showcase of the best and brightest from today's varied dance landscape with performances by American Ballet Theatre, Battleworks, Broadway's 'Billy Elliott,' Camille A. Brown, Dresden Ballet, Les Ballet Grandiva, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Gotham Chamber Opera Presents L'ISOLA DISABITATA

In February of 2009, in honor of the bicentennial of Joseph Haydn's death, Gotham Chamber Opera will present the New York City stage premiere of L'isola disabitata (Desert Island) in a new production staged by Mark Morris at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College.
