This event will be the inaugural theatrical event presented in the LACHSA's brand new theatre called Caroline's L.O.F.T. The event is honoring playwright Josefina Lopez ('Real Women Have Curves') with LACHSA students performing in presentations of her one-act plays, 'Food For The Dead' and 'Detained in the Desert,' the later of which Lopez just completed as a feature film.
PIE (Projects In Education) had its premiere in New York City's Central Park in the summer of 1991. The programming, created by Patrick Riviere (then Artistic Director of The Emerging Artists Project, Inc.) would go on to critical acclaim and much success in the New York Tri-State area and also Chicago, Illinois.
