SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED Continues at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 9/27

Following seventeen sold out shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre will continue their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, for an eighteenth installment, Tuesday, September 27th at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Sondheim Unplugged is currently celebrating the second year of it's smash run, having begun this journey of celebrating Sondheim in July of 2010.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, called 'a riotously funny and campy variety show' by Next Magazine, and 'a rollicking, wry affair complete with funny political commentary on current events' by Gay City News, will present their newest edition on Thursday, September 22 at 9:30 PM.

Photo Flash: Emily Bergl Performs at the Oak Room

Actress Emily Bergl opens the fall season of the Oak Room at the historic Algonquin Hotel with her cabaret, 'Kidding on the Square.' She will be accompanied by Jonathan Mastro, composer and musical director of the hit revival of 'Our Town,' directed by David Cromer. Ms. Bergl starred as Beth Young on ABC's 'Desperate Housewives,' and currently plays Tammi Bryant on TNT's 'Southland.' She most recently appeared on the New York stage in Nora Ephron's 'Love, Loss and What I Wore,' and in Second Stage's 'Becky Shaw,' and has starred in several Broadway productions. Schuster Center's JERSEY BOYS Tix Go On Sale 9/8

Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 8 at 5:30 PM for the Dayton premiere engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, playing the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, January 17- February 5, 2012.

Primary Stages launched its 27th season last night, August 16, with the World Premiere of a work commissioned by the company, the new comedy, Olive and the Bitter Herbs by Charles Busch directed by Mark Brokaw.The five-me mber cast features Dan Butler as Trey, David Garrison as Robert, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive and Richard Masur as Sylvan. Performances run through Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues).
