The MITTEN Lab, a new theatre artist residency, will host a Kick-Off Event at the Detroit Opera House's Chrysler Black Box and Sky Deck this Sunday, September 13, 2015. The Kick-Off Event aims to introduce the MITTEN Lab to the Michigan community and establish the Lab's relationship with Michigan-based theatre organizations and Detroit, a city steeped in theatrical history. This is also an opportunity for the local community to connect with emerging artists and their work in a way that is both accessible and affordable.
The 2015 Detroit Fringe Theatre Festival is proud to announce its Festival lineup which includes 20 performances of 10 minute plays, full-length plays & musicals, and staged readings over the course of four days. Written by Gabrielle Clayton and directed by Emilio Rodriguez, the story focuses on what takes place as five young students who don't get along, are forced to work together on an art project. Performances run today, May 29, and Saturday, May 30 at 7 pm, and Sunday, May 31 at 3 pm.
