Katie Noonan and the Brodsky Quartet will collaborate for the first time ever in With Love and Fury. The unstoppable collision of colossal talent will provide audiences with a spine-tingling experience as they re-imagine the words of Australian poet Judith Wright. The album is being recorded in London and will be released early in the year. The seven-city tour will commence in Brisbane at QPAC with the World Premiere on Thursday April 28, 2016.

Carnegie Hall today unveiled its 2016-2017 season consisting of more than 170 concerts as well as wide-ranging education and community programs created by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. The upcoming season includes performances by many of the world's greatest artists, including Tony winner Kelli O'Hara making her solo headlining debut at the renowned venue on Oct. 29, as well as ensembles representing classical, pop, jazz, and world music, with events presented on Carnegie Hall's three stages, in the Hall's Resnick Education Wing, and throughout New York City.

After sold out concerts in January and March this past year, the 2016 January concerts will again feature a special guest for each show every Saturday of the month. All concerts start at 8 pm. Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced today the addition of three new shows in 2016: Vince Gill on Wednesday March 23, Elvis Costello on Tuesday March 29 and Emmylou Harris on Friday September 30. All shows are at 8:00 pm in the Ruth Finley Person Theatre and tickets for the three new shows go on sale to the public Friday, December 18 at noon. Tickets for Vince Gill are $79 and $59; for Elvis Costello $85 and $69 and for Emmylou Harris $69 and $49 and they may be purchased online at wellsfargocenterarts.org, by calling 707-546-3600, and in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.

Clinton Hill cultural hub and OBIE award-winner JACK launches its winter/spring 2016 season with an a cappella opera set in Zimbabwe by composer Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa, a weekend of curated works by Modesto "Flako" Jimenez, the premiere of the dirty and bracing play Tom & Eliza, by Celine Song, the English-language premiere of Argentinian playwright Rafael Spregelburd's SPAM, The Geneva Project by Jennifer Harrison Newman, Antonio Ramos' Thirsty Mind, love and starvation sitting in a lonely tree and an exploration in minimalist/pop art performance by the No Face Performance Group. JACK also engineers the return of Walter Dundervill's ARENA (which had two sold-out runs at JACK in 2014 and 2015).

On Thanksgiving Day, BroadwayWorld announced the nominees in 14 categories for the 2015 BWW New York Cabaret Awards. BroadwayWorld's cabaret editors and reviewers congratulate all the deserving nominees and everyone who performs in the great art of cabaret in New York. But today, as you munch on the leftovers from last night's dinner, it's time to actually vote for that one performer who you think is the absolute best in each category. Voting ends on December 31 and after a review of the ballots, winners will be announced officially early the week of January 4, 2016. (Note: There will not be a BWW Awards Show this year.)

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.
