For an iconic group that has come to symbolize surfin' in the California sun, the Beach Boys never seem to take time away from touring the entire country to do just that. With over a half century of iconic music and concerts under their belt, the Beach Boys return to the State Theatre, riding the wave their Capitol Records release, Sounds of Summer (RIAA certified triple platinum with over three million in sales and climbing), and it's companion The Warmth of the Sun. The latest success marks a resurgence in Beach Boys interest that has again rocked the world.

Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley will star as 'The Witch' in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into The Woods, directed by Gary Griffin and playing July 21 - 27, 2015 at The Muny, the nation's largest outdoor musical theatre. This production marks the Muny premiere of Into the Woods, and will be Ms. Headley's first performance in a musical in America since her 2000 Tony award winning performance in the original Broadway production of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida.

The Sarah Siddons Society's Artistic Director, Dominic Missimi, announced plans to bestow on Jessie Mueller the organization's prestigious Actress of the Year Award. Ms. Mueller won a Tony award in 2014 for her performance as Carole King in BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. The tribute, entitled SO BEAUTIFUL!, will take place on Monday, April 27, 7:30 pm at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire.

Four time Grammy Award winner Renee Fleming makes her Broadway debut alongside Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills, two-time Emmy Award nominee Anna Chlumsky, Jerry O'Connell, Blake Hammond and Scott Robertson in Living on Love by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin, and directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. BroadwayWorld Toronto has learned that American actor Alan Mingo Jr. will play Lola in the Toronto production of KINKY BOOTS. Mingo Jr. joins Graham Scott Fleming as Charlie Price, a casting which BroadwayWorld previously reported. The Toronto production is set to begin performances at The Royal Alexandra Theatre on June 16, 2015.

ALL THINGS MUST PASS, the engrossing documentary from director Colin Hanks and his producing partner Sean Stuart of Company Name, have solidified a North American distribution deal with Nolan Gallagher, Founder and CEO of Gravitas Ventures. ALL THINGS MUST PASS had its world premiere at the 2015 SXSW Festival this past March. The theatrical release for the film is planned for September 2015.

On May 8, 2015, the Bata Shoe Museum is opening a special exhibition examining the history of men's heeled footwear from the early 17th century to the present in celebration of the Museum's 20th anniversary. Drawn from the Bata Shoe Museum's singular collection--the most comprehensive of its kind in the world--Standing Tall: The Curious History of Men in Heels reveals the history, variety, functions, meanings, and significance of heeled footwear in men's dress over the last four centuries. The exhibition will be on view through June 2016.
