Founder of the iconic Missoni brand, Ottavio Missoni, died yesterday at his home in Sumirago. He was 92. Missoni, known by his nickname Tai, founded the label with his wife Rosita.

The cast has been announced for Socrates and His Clouds at Jermyn Street Theatre. With Alexander Andreou (National Theatre, Manchester Royal Exchange) as Socrates, Paul Hutton as Strepsiades (Mack & Mabel Southwark Playhouse), and Jack Montgomery (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins), as Phidippides, this modern day re-interpretation of a classic Greek comedy will also feature Riana Athanasiou, Lucyelle Cliffe and Rahil Liapopoulou as The Chorus.

Denver Center Attractions announces the 2013 nominees for The Bobby G Awards - the Colorado regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards. Fifteen public and private high schools in the seven Denver metro counties participated in the inaugural season. The awards ceremony, on May 30 at 7pm in The Seawell Grand Ballroom, includes performances from the shows nominated for outstanding overall production and honors outstanding achievements by students and educators made in the areas of performance, design, direction, choreography, technical production and overall production excellence.

Gurney's The Dining Room, a witty and heartfelt observation of life among White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, directed by Mark Lamos, Westport Country Playhouse artistic director.

Seattle Opera's 2012/13 season concludes in May with a double bill of compelling twentieth-century operas, both new to the company: La Voix Humaine, by Francis Poulenc, and Giacomo Puccini's Suor Angelica. Both these one-act operas follow fascinating women who must grapple with despair as they meet their fate; but the two works, like the composers who created them, are extremely different. In Poulenc's sensual monodrama, a woman stumbles through a minefield of emotions as she attempts to stay connected to her ex-lover over the telephone. Puccini's mystical tragedy tells the story of a young nun who learns of the death of the son she was forced to abandon. She kills herself yet miraculously passes into a state of grace. Performances begin tonight, May 4 and run through May 18.

Designers Silvia Arguello, Cassandra Hobbins, Daniel Silverstein and JesseRay Vasquez and Garrett Gerson all won purchases from the retailers. Designer Hunter Bell was not purchased this week.

In the seventh episode of NBC's reality competition show 'Fashion Star' (from Friday, April 19, 8 - 9 p.m. ET), the contestants were paired once again and challenged to come up with designs that were reminiscent of a 'night out on the town.' In an added twist, the designers were asked to draw inspiration from the beautiful 2013 Fiats that were in the studio that week and then they directed their own photo shoot, along with famed photographer Timothy White.
