Critically-acclaimed jazz phenom Cecile McLorin Salvant will perform two concerts at Westchester'sThe Stage at Rockwells on Friday, August 23 at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. McLorin Salvant comes to The Stage at Rockwells in celebration of her much buzzed about Mack Avenue Records debut, WOMANCHILD. The 23-year old virtuoso, known for her astounding vocal range and riveting performances, won the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition in 2010.

McCarter Theatre Center is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 roster of world-renowned artists on its 2013-14 Presenting Series. During the upcoming season, McCarter will present over 40 performances by world-class performing artists curated by Special Programming Director William W. Lockwood. Grammy Award-winning recording artist Fantasia, who was last seen on Broadway in her stunning and universally praised star turn in The Color Purple, has been confirmed to kick off the excitement as the first such guest star in After Midnight.

Today, this veteran of major jazz festivals from Montreux, Switzerland, to the Newport Jazz Festival in New York City, is also carving out his own niche as founder and leader of The Dave Stahl Big Band. Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College announces its 59th season of music, dance, theater, and family programming reflecting the multicultural diversity of Brooklyn. Bringing artists from all over the world, and from most every genre, the Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College - formerly known as Three Stages at Folsom Lake College - will offer literally hundreds of performances in 2013-14. Cape Town City Ballet's vibrant production Night & Day, a tribute to the life and music of Cole Porter, will be performed at The Playhouse for the first time from today, 4 - 7 July. After highly successful runs in Cape Town and Johannesburg, dance lovers in Durban now have the opportunity to catch this exhilarating work - with toe-tapping numbers including elements of jazz, tap dancing and cabaret - for five performances only.

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's hit cabaret of over 30 songs by songwriter Cole Porter will be extended for an additional six weeks, running the rest of the summer. Artistic Director Fred Anzevino announced the extension on Tuesday, July 2.
