Following the 80th Anniversary Season's record-breaking attendance, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival announces the 2013 Festival schedule today. Jacob's Pillow is a National Historic Landmark, home to America's longest-running dance festival, and a recipient of the National Medal of Arts.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim has announced its spring 2013 season. Since 1984, the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. Each intimate, 80-minute performance uniquely combines artistic creation and stimulating conversation and takes place in the Guggenheim's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed, 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater, where new reserved seating is now offered. A reception for the audience and artists follows most programs. Described by the New York Times as "a popular series devoted to shedding light on the creative process," Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson. Choreographer Doug Elkins and co-directors Barbara Karger and Michael Preston have announced that they will conclude a three-year tour of the acclaimed production Fräulein Maria at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, today, August 22 through August 26. Ovation, the only multi-platform network dedicated to art, artists and all forms of artistic storytelling, is set to premiere its new, original series A Chance to Dance tonight, August 17 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. This new dance challenge series was filmed, in part, at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, National Historic Landmark, National Medal of Arts recipient, and home to America's longest-running dance festival, located in Western Massachusetts.

The Jacob's Pillow Dance Award honors outstanding, visionary dance artists and carries a prize of $25,000, one of the largest cash awards in the dance industry, to be used by the choreographer to enhance their artistry in any way they choose. The Award will be presented in person and celebrated at the Jacob's Pillow Season Opening Gala tonight, June 16.
