Dan Butler of FRASIER Will Star In WHEN HARRY MET REHAB At The Greenhouse

Don Clark, Chicago based Film and Theatre Producer and Co-Owner of the Chicago Magic Lounge, presents the World Premiere of WHEN HARRY MET REHAB – a comedy that takes sobriety seriously, based loosely on the real-life experiences of Chicago sports radio personality, Harry Teinowtiz.

Don Clark presents the World Premiere of WHEN HARRY MET REHAB – a comedy that takes sobriety seriously, based loosely on the real-life experiences of Chicago sports radio personality, Harry Teinowtiz. Dan Butler will star as Harry. Butler is best known for his role as “Bulldog” for seven seasons on the legendary television comedy Frasier, as well as “Art” on Roseanne. 

Broken Nose Theatre's GIRL IN THE RED CORNER Extends Through March 9, 2019

Due to popular demand, Broken Nose Theatre's hit drama GIRL IN THE RED CORNER will add one additional week of performances, extending through Today, March 9, 2019 at BNT's resident home, The Den Theatre (2A), 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. The Midwest premiere is written by Stephen Spotswood and directed by Elizabeth Laidlaw. Tickets for all performances are currently available at www.brokennosetheatre.com. Tickets for all Broken Nose Theatre productions are available on a "pay-what-you-can" basis, allowing patrons to set their own price and ensuring theatre remains economically accessible for all audiences.

Victory Gardens Hosts ANGELS IN AMERICA Event With Writer Dan Kois

Victory Gardens Theater hosts writer Dan Kois for special discussion and signing of his book The World Only Spins Forward: The Ascent of Angels in America. Kois will be joined on stage by Chicago actors and writers for a reading of excerpts from the book. This one-night-only event will be held on Monday, October 1 at 7:00pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Writers Theatre Presents A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents A Moon for the Misbegotten, written by Eugene O'Neill and directed by WT Resident Director William Brown. A Moon for the Misbegotten runs February 7 March 18, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.

MoMI Presents Stephen Cone Retrospective and PRINCESS CYD

Museum of the Moving Image will present the New York theatrical premiere engagement of Princess Cyd, the 2017 BAMcinemaFest hit from Chicago-based writer-director Stephen Cone, starring Rebecca Spence, Jessie Pinnick, and Malic White. Concurrently, the Museum will present Talk About the Passion: Stephen Cone's First Act, an early career retrospective of Cone's work, highlighting features such as Henry Gamble's Birthday Party and The Wise Kids, all preceded by selections of the director's shorter work.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces cast and Creative Team for Short Shakespeare! ROMEO AND JULIET

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the cast and creative team for Short Shakespeare! Romeo and Juliet, a 75-minute abridgment of William Shakespeare's classic tale of true love found-and tragically lost. Adapted and directed by Marti Lyons and featuring a dynamic ensemble cast, the production speaks to today's young people about their own lives. In addition to public performances on Saturdays, this production welcomes 1,000 students each day during its five-week run in the Courtyard Theater, followed by an extensive tour to schools across the region through April 28, 2017. Short Shakespeare! Romeo and Juliet will be performed for the public Saturdays at 11:00 a.m., February 25-March 25, 2017.

About Face Theatre to Host AFT 20: A CELEBRATION BENEFIT at Center on Halsted, 6/17

About Face Theatre kicks off Pride Weekend with AFT 20: A Celebration, an exciting evening of scenes, songs and rarely seen archival footage honoring AFT's incredible two decade long history as Chicago's premiere LGBTQIA theatre company. The one-night-only benefit will be held Friday, June 17 at 6 pm at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St. in Chicago.
