Nominations for the 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced this morning at the New York Friars Club. 'A Catered Affair' led the way with 12 nominations.
Lincoln Center will present Horton Foote's Dividing The Estate this fall in arrangement with Primary Stages, who originally presented the Off-Broadway run. It has been rumored that most of the cast will reprise there roles on Broadway including Elizabeth Ashley, Hallie Foote, Gerarld McRaney, Penny Fuller and Arthur French. Michael Wilson will continue to direct.
MCC Theater annual gala, Miscast, was held Monday, March 10, 2008 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). Miscast 2008 brought together the best and brightest Broadway talent as they performed songs from roles in which they would never be cast. Lynn Redgrave, currently in MCC's production of Grace, will served as the evening's Honorary Chair. Broadway's Phil Reno provided musical direction.
