While she obviously spends a lot of time working on the administrative requirements of running a theatre company in Nashville, she also finds time to display her many talents onstage. Most recently, she starred in the company's critically acclaimed (which means I really liked it) production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical. And somehow, in the aftermath of that show and amid all the hubbub of the holiday season, Cathy found time to sit down and respond to our questions. This week, then, she is in the spotlight for 'A Life in the Theatre.' Enjoy!

David Lee Strasberg, son of acclaimed theatrical acting coach Lee Strasberg, has an ability his father was often said to lack: the ability to combine his theatrical skill with business knowledge. By applying his vast administrative experience, Strasberg has expanded the Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute beyond its original intentions and design.

Variety reports that Warren Beatty has been named the recipient of the The Art Directors Guild's Outstanding Contribution to Cinematic Imagery Award. Not undeserving of the nod, only Beatty and Orson Welles have received Academy Award nominations as an actor, director, writer and producer on the same film, an achievement Beatty did with Heaven Can Wait and Reds. Beatty will be presented with the prize on February 13 at the Beverly Hilton.
