Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Broadway's Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Lysistrata Jones, Hairspray), and Marrick Smith (Fun Home, "The Lennon Report") as the guests of honor at the sixth edition of the Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame Mathieu's Soiree. This will be her final soiree of 2016.

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has tapped Broadway's Elena Wang (Allegiance, The King and I (West End)) and drag personality Chelsea Piers as guests of honor at the fourth installment of the Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame Mathieu's Soiree. The show will be held at Duplex on July 14th at 9:30. Described as "an Ed Sullivan Show for a new generation" (Gerry Geddes), this variety show with an avant garde twist is as unpredictable as the patroness herself. The eclectic evening will feature an all new group of rising stars in stand-up, poetry, dance, songwriting, and performance art while Wang and Piers will accept creative dares that arise from Mme. M's insane imagination.

ALLEGIANCE plays its final performance on Broadway today, February 14, 2016. Performances began at the Longacre Theatre on October 6, 2015, and the production officially opened on November 8, 2015. At the time of its closing, the musical will have played 37 previews and 113 regular performances, and will have been seen by approximately 120,000 people, a number that eerily echoes the number of Japanese Americans who were directly impacted by the events that inspired the show. Productions and ATA have announced that the new American musical Allegiance has partnered with Omaze, the fundraising platform that gives you the opportunity to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences while donating to great causes. For a chance to win, fans can donate $10 or more to Takei Over The Town with George Takei and raise money for students to attend performances of Allegiance through Inspire Change. The winner will fly to New York City and kick off the evening by having dinner with George, receive VIP tickets to Allegiance and meet the cast. Rounding out the experience is a customized meme created with Takei and shared to his 10 million social followers.

This just in! Sing Out, Louise! Productions and ATA have announced that the new American musical Allegiance will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Performances began at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) on October 6, 2015 and the production officially opened on November 8, 2015. At the time of its closing it will have played 37 previews and 113 regular performances. Producers also announced a national tour and international productions are in the works. Allegiance had its world premiere in a record-breaking engagement at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in 2012.
