Tony Award-nominee Nick Cordero (Bullets Over Broadway, Rock of Ages, A Bronx Tale - The Musical) has joined the Broadway cast of Waitress, playing the role of Earl, the husband of lead character Jenna, played by Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), BroadwayWorld has learned.

Choreographer Lorin Latarro has joined the creative team for the Broadway production of Waitress.  With her addition, Waitress is the first Broadway musical in history where a traditional four person creative team of book writer, composer, choreographer and director have all been women.* Latarro replaces Chase Brock, who choreographed the pre-Broadway run at the A.R.T.

Additional casting has been announced for the Broadway production of Waitress. The new musical opens onSunday, April 24, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), with previews starting on Friday, March 25, 2016. Waitress recently played a sold out limited engagement at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.

BroadwayWorld has just learned Waitress, a new musical, will open on Broadway as part of the current 2015-2016 season.  The production will open in April 2016, with previews beginning in March 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).  Waitress is currently playing at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, where it runs through September 27, 2015.    

Hairspray will play its final performance at the Luxor Las Vegas on Sunday, June 11th

Harvey Fierstein and Dick Latessa will depart the Las Vegas production of Hairspary on April 30th, while Paul Vogt and Eddie Mekkla will take over on May 1st

Contrary to a report in the Las Vegas Sun, John Goodman will not be playing Edna Turnblad in the Las Vegas production of Hairspray; Paul Vogt will begin performances as Edna on May 1st while Eddie Mekka will begin to play Wilbur that day

The streamlined Las Vegas production of Hairspray starring Harvey Fierstein and Dick Latessa will begin previews on February 6th and open on February 15th
