Academy Award nominated actor Edward Norton makes his first appearance as SNL host on October 26. Norton will next be on screen in the 2014 feature films, “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Birdman.”

NBC confirmed today that the screen star is set to host the Oct. 26 broadcast, with Janelle Monae serving as the featured musical guest. This marks Norton's first time hosting the long-running variety show, though has made cameos multiple times.

Additionally, Fleming announced that Salerno had co-written a 700-page biography on Salinger with New York Times bestselling author David Shields.
