A lecture discussing the complexities of the Battle of Verdun from Dr. John Mosier and programs exploring the effects of World War I on J.R.R. Tolkien's masterpieces are among the July events at the National World War I Museum and Memorial.

Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania's premiere summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, has announced that for the third year in a row it will offer a special 'pay what you can' performance of their current production during the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

 Mason Street Warehouse kicks off its 2016 season at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts (400 Culver Street, Saugatuck) with the Tony winning musical "Million Dollar Quartet". Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania's premiere summer theatre located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, presents the return of one of the most successful musicals in playhouse's 66-year history, Forever Plaid, running from June 17 through July 3. This all-new production is directed and choreographed by Christine O'Grady, who choreographed Totem Pole's critically-acclaimed production, Shenandoah, last season and audience favorite, Godspell, the previous summer. Ms. O'Grady has cast four current students from the prestigious Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM), Louis Griffin, Derek Kastner, Stavros Koumbaros, and Gabe Wrobel as the 'Four Plaids' - a four-part close harmony singing group in the tradition of the Four Freshman, the Four Lads, the Four Aces, and the Hi-Lo's. The show features over 20 hit songs from the 1950s including such classics as: "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Heart and Soul," "Moments to Remember," "Perfidia," and "Love is a Many Splendored Thing." The show, which is being produced by Theatre A Go-Go, Inc., is sponsored by Edward Jones and Richards Orthopaedic Center. Franklin County Visitors Bureau serves as the sponsor for the 2016 season.

Multiple Grammy® Award-wining artist, Michelle Williams, of the internationally renowned recording group, Destiny's Child, will star in the title role of The Muny's 2016 production of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida, August 8 - 14. The Muny's production of Aida is directed by Matt Lenz and choreographed by John Rua with music direction by Andrew Graham.

?Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, will produce the exclusive Georgia premiere of the five-time Tony Award-winning musical play, Peter and the Starcatcher.  This delightful show filled with adventure will run February 25 through March 13, 2016 at the Theatre's home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA. The Muny announced today the complete cast for its production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. Based on the 1942 film, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin with a book by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge. Greenberg will direct the Muny production with choreography by Denis Jones. Musical direction is by James Moore, vocal and dance arrangements are by Sam Davis with additional arrangements by Bruce Pomahac, and orchestrations by Larry Blank. The Muny's production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn is its second production worldwide.

The Muny announced today several principal cast members for the seven shows in its spectacular 97th season, which opens on June 15 with My Fair Lady. Full casts and companies will be announced throughout May.
