It's just been officially announced that Sonia Friedman Productions will present the Royal Court Theatre production of THE RIVER, a new play by Jez Butterworth, starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Donnelly and Cush Jumbo, and directed by Ian Rickson.

Drayton Arms Theatre & PostScript Theatre present the World Premiere of Yesterday's Tomorrow, a serviceman's love at war by Gene David Kirk. The play is based on actual events and is directed by Hamish MacDougall with movement directed by Anna Morrissey.

Religion, politics and theater collide when Bart DeLorenzo directs the Los Angeles premiere of Passion Play by Tony and two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee Sarah Ruhl, kicking off the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's 45th Anniversary Season in a co-production with Evidence Room. As part of Curve's celebratory 5th Birthday Autumn Season, the Leicester theatre reunites with New Persepectives Theatre Company, the East Midlands' leading touring theatre producer, to co-produce the world premiere of David Rudkin's; The Lovesong of Alfred J Hitchcock.

For the first time ever, Terence Rattigan and John Gielgud's stage adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities will be produced on stage, directed by Adam Spreadbury-Maher and opening at the King's Head Theatre tonight, 25 September for a limited season, ending on 19 October.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Natural Affection by William Inge, the first production of the company's 21st Season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) tonight, September 17, 2013. Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, announced that Theatre for a New Audience's first home in the Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District will be named Polonsky Shakespeare Center in recognition of a $10 million gift from The Polonsky Foundation.
