Edward Albee's A DELICATE BALANCE opens August 21st to audiences on the historic Berkshire Theatre Main Stage, as part of the Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The actors and technicians have been working hard to prepare for Albee's Pulitzer Prize winning piece about a dysfunctional family in suburbia.

The Berkshire Theatre Festival has announced casting for its production of Edward Albee's A DELICATE BALANCE. The production will begin previews on August 17 and will open officially on August 21; it will then run until September 4.

Perkins 28 Productions presents 'Veritas' by Stan Richardson at HERE Arts Center Mainstage Theater, 145 6th Avenue (enter on Dominick, 1 blk south of Spring) Inspired by true events, 'Veritas' is the story of a group of young men at Harvard in 1920 whose promising futures fell prey to Harvard's 'Secret Court': a gay witch-hunt conducted by school administration to purge Harvard of all homosexuality. The talented cast includes Justin Blanchard, Paul Downs Colaizzo, Mitch Dean, Morgan Karr, Doug Kreeger, Eric Nelsen, Matt Steiner, Jesse Swenson, Sam Underwood, and Joseph Yeargain. It is directed by Ryan J Davis, with costumes by Matthew Pachtman, lighting by Brian Tovar. Nathan Vernon is the associate producer, with casting by Daryl Eisenberg; assistant director is Alex Jensen and Adam J. Thompson is the dramaturg. The stage manager is Corey Philips and Maria de Cesare is the website designer. After more than a decade of planning and two and a half years of construction, Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C. returns to the neighborhood with a ribbon cutting ceremony and Homecoming Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 23, 2010.

Santa Rosa's 6th Street Playhouse announces its 2010-2011 'All-American' season featuring four musicals and eight plays. The twelve-show season offers a wide variety of theater productions, from Aug. 13, 2010 through June 26, 2011, including family musicals, comedies, American classics and two world premieres.
