The 2011 season is marching on for the Harbor Lights Theater Company (HLTC) as it begins its preparations to bring The Music Man to the stage, complete with a variety of exceptional local talent plus Patti Mariano who was in the original production of The Music Man on Broadway with Robert Preston at the young of age 11.
Auditions for The Weston Friendly Society's fall 2011 production of Meredith Wilson's The Music Man will be held June 27 & 28 at 7:00 at Weston Town Hall.
Berkshire Playwrights Lab will present five free staged readings of new works by emerging and established playwrights on Wednesdays at 7:30pm on June 15, July 27, August 10, and August 24 at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center (14 Castle Street, Great Barrington, Mass.) and on Wednesday, June 29 at 7:30pm at Bard College at Simon's Rock Daniel Arts Center McConnell Theater

Ed Asner distinctly remembers FDR's death. 'When I heard of his death when I was 15, it was as if the bottom had fallen out and I thought, 'What will we do now?' He was like God the Father to me.' This admiration is what led the actor to choose to take on the role of the President in the upcoming production at San Jose Rep.
