The Music Man, one of America's seminal musicals, will be released on Blu-ray from Warner Home Video early next year.

The Music Man is the upbeat film of the 1,375-perfromance Broadway smash hit.  Even today, it remains an irresistible skyburst of Americana. Robert Preston recreates his Tony-winning Broadway triumph as con artist Harold Hill in the film, coming to River City, Iowa to form a boys band, much to the initial dismay of town librarian Marian Paroo played by Shirley Jones. Paroo and Hill find themselves in love by the films' end. Buddy Hackett, Hermione Gingold, Paul Ford and 7-year-old Ron Howard co-star. MerEdith Wilson's sassy, brassy score, is orchestrated to Oscar-Winning effect by Ray Heindorf.
The release is set for February 24th.
