The Shaw Festival has announced its 61st season. A mix of classics, real hidden gems, new works and a variety of voices will be seen, heard and experienced in both their indoor and outdoor spaces next season.

The film will be presented from Saturday, August 20 to Thursday, August 25 in the King Auditorium at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey. The feature film has not been presented publicly since its debut on PBS Great Performances on November 9, 1981.

WAM Theatre concludes their 2022 Fresh Takes Play Reading Season with Escaped Alone, written by one of the most prolific living playwrights, Caryl Churchill (Top Girls, Cloud 9, Far Away). The play is directed by WAM's Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven and will be presented live (and live-streamed) on Sunday, August 7, at 2pm at The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home in Lenox. Pennyroyal is a heartrending new play about sisterhood and motherhood; enduring love and regrets many years in the making. Developed over lockdown, it was originally programmed to premiere at VAULT Festival 2022, and now makes its debut at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre. Check out photos here!

Actor And Playwright Lucy Roslyn On Her New Play Pennyroyal at Finborough Theatre

The series is based on Edith Wharton’s unfinished final novel and stars Kristine Froseth ('The Assistant'), Alisha Boe ('When You Finish Saving The World,' '13 Reasons Why'), Josie Totah ('Saved by the Bell'), Aubri Ibrag ('Dive Club'), Imogen Waterhouse ('The Outpost,' 'Nocturnal Animals') and Mia Threapleton ('I Am Ruth') as the buccaneers.

Madison Clare and Lucy Roslyn will star as sisters Daphne and Christine, whose relationship starts to shift once Daphne is diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) in the world premiere of Pennyroyal at the Finborough theatre.

The summer will quickly heat up at Gloucester Stage Company with its season's second production, MR. FULLERTON, BETWEEN THE SHEETS, running from July 1 to 24. Directed by Judy Brahaº, it is a turn-of-the-century tale of unbridled passion by Massachusetts playwright Anne Undeland.

The Finborough Theatre's June-August 2022 season features two stunning new plays by British female playwrights, together with an initiative responding to the war in Ukraine – #VoicesFromUkraine will include a month's run of Two Ukrainian Plays in August, alongside an ongoing online programme of readings and performances of new and rediscovered Ukrainian drama and poetry.

The winners of the 2022 Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theater were announced today by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Both musicals received Staged Reading Awards.
