The Shaw Festival is the lucky producer who gets to produce a never before seen mystery by the celebrated author Edith Wharton. For the first time, audiences get to be mesmerized by THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT, Wharton's one and only play that was written in 1901, never produced and found in a library archives in 2016.

Peter Hinton-Davis directs the world premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist's only known full-length play.

Great Barrington Public Theater Names Judy Braha Associate Artistic Director

GBPT Artistic Director Jim Frangione and Executive Director Deann Simmons Halper have announced the appointment of Judy Braha to the newly created position, Associate Artistic Director. In that capacity she will play an integral role choosing and creatively programming future productions and developing new work.

WAM Theatre Announces A Summer Of Fresh Play Readings

Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven and the WAM Theatre team have announced the 2023 Fresh Takes Play Reading Series. The series includes three new plays to be performed on three consecutive Sundays in July at The Mount in Lenox. The Fresh Takes Reading Series includes three groundbreaking stories: hollow roots by Christina Anderson, Port of Entry by Talya Kingston, and In Her Bones by Jessica Kahkoska. 

Nashville Ballet to Present New in Nashville this April

Nashville Ballet will be concluding their 2022-23 Season April 21–23 at TPAC with New in Nashville. A celebration of long-time Artistic Director Paul Vasterling, who has been a part of the company for more than three decades, this unique sampling of music and movement will highlight the growth of the company under Vasterling’s leadership. 

Two Musicals Win Richard Rodgers Awards

The American Academy of Arts and Letters announced the two recipients of the 2023 Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theater. Both winning musicals will receive funds toward their presentation in staged readings at nonprofit theaters in New York City.
