For its cornerstone acting program, the One-on-One series takes a group of ten Project kids out of town to a country retreat for a week in the summer. Each child is assigned a playwright who is charged to write a musical specifically for that child. The shows are rehearsed over the course of the week and performed informally for the community in the retreat setting. Upon returning to Manhattan, the plays are performed at the Project's Five Angels Theater (789 Tenth Avenue, 2nd floor, NYC), supported by professional designers and crews who volunteer their services.

Edie Falco stopped by last night's THE COLBERT REPORT on Comedy Central to chat about her role on Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie' and reflect on the motivations of her character in HBO's 'The Sopranos.'
Edie Falco told The Hollywood Reporter about her experience of being caught naked on stage. During her run in the Broadway play Frankie and Johnny, a technical error caused the lights to turn on while she was naked on stage. She recalled, 'It got an audible gasp. Then the curtains went down and we started again like it didn't happen.'
Ed Falco, who teaches writing and literature in Virginia Tech's MFA program, may best be known for his being the uncle of Edie Falco, who played the role of Carmela Soprano on the Sopranos. He is also noted for his work with artists and actors through exploring the healing power of drama.

Most actors can only dream of having the career Julie White has had. A Tony-winner for 2006's THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED, White spent five years on TV's GRACE UNDER FIRE, starred in the mega-hit TRANSFORMERS franchise and the Academy Award winning LINCOLN, and on TV with FRIEND's Matthew Perry and fellow Tony-winner Laura Benanti in GO ON.
White can now be seen on Showtime's NURSE JACKIE, where she plays Tony-nominee Edie Falco's AA sponsor. I spoke to her the Friday before Easter as she was preparing to head up to her fixer-upper outside the city to prune roses and pile up leaves with her good friend Tony-winner Cady Huffman.
