From April 1-8, The New School will present its first arts festival, which will explore the relevance of the classic genre of Noir and evaluate its meaning today. The festival will include iconic films, hard-boiled storytelling, graphic art, and music inspired by this quintessential American style.

Mark Blum, Michael Stahl-David, Donna Hanover, Tom Lipinski and Liz Stauber will comprise the cast of Christopher Shinn's play PICKED -- being given its world-premiere production by the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), with previews starting April 6 prior to its official opening night on April 20 -- it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, the Vineyard's artistic director. Michael Wilson will direct.

HBO will present - for the first time - a sneak peek of the first 15 minutes of the first episode of a new series when GAME OF THRONES EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW debuts SUNDAY, APRIL 3 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

McCarter Theatre presents Beth Henley's modern American classic Crimes of the Heart. Directed by Liesl Tommy, the cast features Mary Bacon (Lenny MaGrath), Molly Camp (Babe Botrelle), Georgia Cohen (Meg MaGrath), Dustin Ingram (Barnette Lloyd), Lucas Van Engen (Doc Porter) and Brenda Withers (Chick Boyle). The production is sponsored by The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation. Crimes of the Heart will close Sunday, March 27.

Actor Richard Easton will make his New York Philharmonic debut reciting the prologue to Bluebeard's Castle, also known as The Bard's Poem, at the start of the New York Philharmonic's performances of Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle, March 18-19, 2011, at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. He replaces Marthe Keller, who has withdrawn due to illness.

HBO has just released a new trailer for the miniseries 'Mildred Pierce.' The show is set to premiere on March 27 at 9pm. The show features Kate Winslet, Evan Rachel Wood, Hope Davis, Melissa Leo, Brian F. O'Byrne, Mare Winningham, Guy Pearce, James LeGros, and Morgan Turner.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) continues its 2010/11 Season with Steven Sater and Serj Tankian's world premiere rock musical Prometheus Bound, directed by Diane Paulus.
