Douglas Post's Forty-Two Stories, a comedy set in a Lake Shore Drive high-rise condominium, will receive its world premiere full production as the third show in City Lit Theatre's 2016-17 season. The press opening will be Sunday, April 23rd at 3 pm following previews from April 14-22nd.

Yesterday evening, FLAUNT partnered with Global Green for their 14th annual pre-Oscar fundraiser at the new TAO in Hollywood. The event honored Tribal Chairman of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, David Archambault II, among others, and was a bold show of community in the face of the increasing threat to our environment and way of life.

THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to present the third show of its 2016-2017 season, the West Coast premiere of LITTLE CHILDREN DREAM OF GOD, written by Jeff Augustin and directed by Andre Barron. LITTLE CHILDREN DREAM OF GOD will begin previews on Tuesday, February 21 at 8pm; will open on Today, February 23 at 8pm and run through Saturday, April 15 at the Road Theatre Company's second home, The Road on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

After two successful runs on the Big Island of Hawaii, A Night at the Stork Club moves to Hollywood's Three Clubs for a limited run January 7-8, 2017. The original production featured critically acclaimed vocalists Justin John Moniz and Ashley Lambert, alongside New York City jazz pianist, Phil Kadet. City Lit Theater's 37th season will honor its traditions while bringing Chicago audiences four plays that will be new to nearly all audience members. The season lineup announced today by City Lit artistic director Terry McCabe includes a mix of three world premieres (two of them adaptations of novels and one original new comedy), plus a classic comedy of the 19th Century that has not been seen in Chicago in 120 years.
