BWW Reviews: Half & Half's PASSING STRANGE is a Funky, Fun Inaugural Production

There's a song titled "It's Alright" that comes up time and time again in Passing Strange, the rock musical serving as Half & Half Productions' inaugural production. The words "It's Alright" don't come close to describing this high octane show. While the content in Passing Strange may be a bit bizarre and occasionally jarring, this production is a rousing, thrilling introduction to a newer, little-known musical and to Austin's newest theater company.

With 2,534 performances, Avenue Q ranks 23rd on the list of longest running shows in Broadway history, and this production does the show proud.

BWW Reviews: Chaffin's Barn's SPREADING IT AROUND is Less Filling, Tastes Great

Lisa Marie Wright's impeccable timing and on-target comic performance-not to mention her cantilevered breastworks-are reason enough to book your favorite table at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre for Spreading It Around, a formulaic comedy about seniors spending their kids' inheritances that actually packs in a lot of laughs while pulling a minimum of punches in its two hours onstage.
