A tribute to Broadway's most celebrated songwriting partnership - from Cabaret to Chicago to Curtains - Signature pulls out the stops with Broadway's Heidi Blickenstaff, James Clow, Norm Lewis, Julia Murney, Matthew Scott, and Eleasha Gamble and a 19-piece orchestra, plus staging and set design by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and choreography by Karma Camp.

CHILD OF HUNGRY TIMES will get its New York premiere during the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, running June 11th-28th at 440 Studios. CHILD OF HUNGRY TIMES is a one woman show written and performed by Bridget Bailey, and is based on the writings of one of Russia's most prolific and dangerous writers, Ludmila Petrushevskaya, who was heavily censored during the Soviet Union era. Jay O'Berski is serving as director for the production, and New York Theatre Barn is presenting the work at the Planet Connections Festivity.

South Coast Repertory has announced the lineup of actors and directors who will participate in the 12th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF). Since its creation in 1998, PPF has grown into one of the most important festivals of new scripts in the United States. This year?s Festival will take place during the May 1 through May 3 weekend and will feature five staged readings and two fully-produced World Premieres on South Coast Repertory?s Segerstrom and Julianne Argryos Stages. MAN underdog presents 'The Temperamentals' by Jon Marans, Off Broadway at The Barrow Group Studio Theater, 312 West 36 Street 3rd Floor. Previews begin on Thursday, April 30, 2009 and the opening is Monday, May 4 at 8:00 pm for the limited engagement. It is directed by Jonathan Silverstein. The cast and design team will soon be announced. 'Temperamental' was a code word for 'homosexual' in the early 1950s, part of a created language of secret words that gay men used to communicate. In this underground world, danger was always an underlying presence. But with it, a heady, intoxicating secrecy also hung in the air.
