Artistic and Executive Director, Paul Hart today announces the company for his new production of Twelfth Night continuing The Watermill Theatre's bold, ensemble driven approach to Shakespeare. Twelfth Night runs from 6 April to 6 May and in repertoire with Hart's 2016 production of Romeo + Juliet from 18 to 22 July. Both productions will tour nationally from Tuesday 16 May to Thursday 3 August

Uncharted: A Live Performance Series continues at Greenwich House Music School this spring wit Dan Tepfer and Aaron Diehl: Duo Piano on Thursday, April 27 at 8:00 pm.

The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts (DECFA) will present a special screening of Duke Ellington's rarely seen TV special, A Drum Is A Woman at the Paley Center for Media (25 West 52nd Street) on Friday, March 24, from 3:00 to 4:45 PM. The event is the second installment in DECFA's new MOOD ELLINGTON series of special programs focusing on the musical legacy of Duke Ellington -- America's most productive composer of the 20th century.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2016-17 season on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 8pm with GRAMMY® Award-winning jazz singer Patti Austin performing Ella Now and Then: A Centennial Celebration of the First Lady of Song. Encore! Critically acclaimed New York jazz-pop stylist Richard Malavet returns with his must-see show Midnight Moods for one night only today, March 1 at 7:00 at the Metropolitan Room. 

Actor, musician, activist, and humanitarian Harry Belafonte will turn 90-years-old on March 1, 2017. On this occasion, Museum of the Moving Image will celebrate his legendary career as an artist and activist-a little early-on Saturday, February 4, with a three-film retrospective and conversation with Belafonte's friend, the best-selling author Walter Mosley. The Harry Belafonte Pre-Birthday Celebration will feature screenings of The Strolling '20s, a television special produced by and starring Belafonte and featuring Sidney Poitier, Diahann Carroll, Sammy Davis, Jr. and more, that has hardly been seen in 50 years; Robert Altman's Kansas City, which features Belafonte's favorite of his own performances; and Otto Preminger's classic Carmen Jones, in which he stars opposite Dorothy Dandridge.

THE BLACK BOX, downtown Franklin's theater, music, and event venue, presents a Big Band Brunch with the renowned Kenny Hadley Big Band on Sunday, March 5. The critically acclaimed 16-piece ensemble, led by drummer Kenny Hadley, boasts masterful musicians with performance ties to Big Band legends Woody Herman, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich and more. The band has shared the stage with such notables as the Count Basie Orchestra and the Duke Ellington Orchestra and has hosted guest soloists including Clark Terry and Louie Bellson.

Tickets for three-time Grammy Award-winner Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemaker's Sedona International Film Festival opening concert on Saturday, Feb. 18 and five-time Grammy nominee Michael Feinstein's performance of the Great American Songbook today, Feb. 24 go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16. 

On Saturday, May 6th, McCarter Theatre Center will host its 40th annual Gala Benefit, which supports McCarter's many ongoing artistic and educational missions here in Princeton and around the region. This year's gala, A Night in Old Havana, will be an evening of American jazz, Old Havana flare, fine food, live and silent auctions, and dancing.
